SOCCER IN SUNNY MALIBU!!

I had a great time on Friday calling West Coast Conference soccer in Malibu, CA. I was working with Danny Lee on the Pepperdine v Gonzaga game at the incredible campus of Pepperdine University. It was the conference opener for both teams and the Waves' women got the win by a 1-0 score. As you can see from the pics, we had a great vantage point on a wonderful fall day in southern California. 

Yes! That is the Pacific Ocean at the top of the picture. It is just on the other side of the palm trees. Life is good!

When the game was over and I walked across the parking lot near the athletic department, this was what I saw.

Congratulations to Time Warner Cable SportsNet on their first anniversary. What a debut??

TWC has revolutionized hoop and soccer coverage in southern California and they will do the same with Dodgers' telecasts in 2014.
