LETTERMAN REMEMBERS ROBIN WILLIAMS

This David Letterman tribute to Robin Williams is more than 10 minutes long, but it is very well worth your time.

Letterman reflected, on his TV show, about their early years at the comedy clubs and there are some great clips from William's many appearances on "The Late Show."

There is even a clip of young Dave appearing with Williams

on the "Mork and Mindy" show.

I hope you enjoy it.
(there are two videos on the page connected to this link.
you want the second one behind the picture of
Dave, Robin and Richard Pryor)

SOUNDS OF SILENCE!!

I have been doing some temp announcing work

for Clear Channel recently.

My job is to voice news and weather updates for

IHEART RADIO stations in a number of U.S. markets.

You might here me in Detroit, Phoenix, Honolulu, Albuquerque, Milwaukee and a variety of cities.

I record the updates, edit them and send them down the line.

Part of the process is adding two seconds of "silence" to the end of each recording.

I'm serious!

There is actually a setting on the audio editor

which allows me to "Insert Silence".

I got to thinking.

How great would it be to have a button

like that to use in everyday life.

Certain people?

Certain situations?

Certain blowhards?

In the words of the Beach Boys,

 "Wouldn't it Be Nice?"

RIGHT ON TARGET!

I am so excited.

There is a new Target store in our area!

Now I don't have to travel so far to get my

identity stolen and my finances trashed!

**

GET WELL, COOP!

Sending good thoughts and great health to my friend and colleague, Michael Cooper.

The former Lakers' star and head coach of the L.A. Sparks is dealing with tongue cancer.

He'll have surgery and miss a few weeks from his current job as head coach of the Atlanta Dream in the WNBA.

Get better fast  and completely, Coop!
